Not-So-Spikey Christmas Vibes 🎄

This year, I’m embracing the festive spirit with a little twist—decorating my beloved house plant instead of a traditional Christmas tree! 🌿✨

It started years ago when I felt sad about cutting trees from the forest just for them to dry out and end up in the bin. I even tried a potted tree, hoping to make it an annual tradition, but it didn’t survive long without being planted in soil. And while a plastic tree seemed convenient for a while, it didn’t feel aligned with my values of sustainability and simplicity.

One day, as I looked at my beautiful indoor plant, I thought—why not let it shine? Adding some fairy lights and my collection of ornaments (each gifted by a dear friend @svetlanatraine 🫶) transformed it into the centerpiece of my Christmas celebrations ✨

For me, this plant brings together everything I love about the season—light, warmth, and memories—without contributing to waste.

Who says Christmas has to be traditional to feel magical? 🌲💚

As the year draws to a close, I love going down memory lane to reflect on the months that have passed and truly cherish the special memories that have been created 🤍

Before we officially say goodbye to 2024, I want to share some of the moments that made this year so meaningful and filled my heart with joy and happiness.

The biggest highlight? Of course, a surprise family reunion 🥰

To celebrate Mr. P’s birthday, his mum and sister secretly flew in from Argentina to visit us. Can you imagine his face when he walked through the door and saw them standing there? 🥹✨ It was one of those moments you live for—pure love, joy, and the kind of emotions you can’t put into words.

This visit was especially meaningful because the last time we were all together was two years ago, for New Year’s Eve in Rio. With no clear plans to meet again, having them here in Munich for the first time since we moved was the most thoughtful surprise.

The reunion brought with it a whirlwind of adventures—exploring cities in Germany and around, taking scenic hikes in the mountains, soaking in breathtaking views, and yes, even enduring a runny nose and some sore feet! But every single moment was worth it to create beautiful memories we’ll treasure forever.

The photos may not be perfect, but the memories certainly are. They remind me that life is about the people we love and the moments we share with them 🤍
